Keepin’ It Riel. Outline of model Dannie Riel, sketched on a sudden whim. Drawing digital outlines is a surprisingly painstaking process…

Drawception. Drawings within drawings within drawings of drawings.

Last night I was relieved to realize that it’d simply been a dream. Then I woke up from that dream, confused by all the dreams.

Geoffrey Giraffe…has a question: what should I draw? Inquiries, inquiries. Comment below if you have a suggestion for Geoffrey Giraffe.

Synchronicities. Some things are too uncanny to overlook, coincidences too meaningful to ignore. Psychoanalyst Carl Jung calls them synchronicities, acasual coincidences we string together with meaning.

By Design. Kid Cudi, Man on the Moon. I admit I miss old Cudi, but I found a song on his new album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ that I really like. It’s called By Design. And it’s 🔥.

A trio. Of whom? A posing band on a scrap of magazine paper I lost afterwards.

Sometimes manikans remind me of ice skaters. I skated ’til I was ten, and wasted every birthday wish up until then on being the next Michelle Kwon.

Staring at you from afar, I’m wondering about you / Like, where you from and who you are? / ‘Cause you a star–no, not the type that snort the white lines / I mean the type to light the night time

Déjà Vu. J. Cole appreciation post as I sing along to my J. Cole playlist.

Dizzy. Pink like cotton candy fluff. Looks like snow. Tastes like ice cream. This is my tired fuzzy scrawl

Drawing on Photoshop of a fictional girl I named Mai. I really like drawing portraits, in case that isn’t obvious…heh.

It’s funny how people’ll see you in entirely contradictory ways. You’d think that if we were all looking at the same sky, we’d unanimously say it’s blue. But people aren’t skies, and people aren’t blue.

Coffeeshop scrawl. An odd habit I picked up fall of 2015: doodling strangers. Strangers in class, in coffeeshops, in passing.

The most memorable time–probably when I drew an Italian couple visiting the States at a coffeeshop in NYC. They later asked to see it and I gave the napkin-drawing to them.
