Audrey Hepburn

Graphite sketch of film icon Audrey Hepburn.

I’m a fountain of love in the shape of a girl / You’re a bird on the brim, hypnotized by the whirl

Completed graphite portrait of Bjork, first sketch in my new portraits notebook. Every time I think of Bjork, I hear her melodious tittering voice and Bachelorette in my head.

Some graphite portrait sketches I did a while back–usually I cross-hatch, but I used Kleenex and a tortillon for more realistic blending. I’m thinking of drawing portraits of friends and family in this style before summer ends.

On a side note: I’ve been thinking to branch off and make a separate art blog, but I’m not sure. I already did that with my photography and while it’s good for gigs and all, it’s a bit of a headache to maintain (I like keeping my photography business and personal stuff separate) It doesn’t help that I get really sick of photography for months at a time, either. Guess I’ll just throw some work up on here and Facebook for the time being 🙂
